Research & Contributions By Dr. Amit Singh

Research is an integral and a very important aspect of teaching. I perceive that besides having Ph.D. scholars enrolled for new research there should be specifically a separate Research and Policy Development Wing consisting of a core team of senior faculty members, research assistants and best selected interns dedicated for suggesting the legal reforms in the existing legal and judicial system for better functioning of courts and improved governance of the society. Old redundant laws need to be eradicated and should be supplemented by new legislations as per the contemporary needs. The team may work collectively and collaborate with other national and international research agencies through Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to put forth and achieve the said objectives. It will widen the legal understanding and horizon on the nuances of the legal principles and through this project the department may able to suggest some remarkable suggestions to amend or incorporate the any law as per the needs of our Indian society. I personally think that this activity will make the department most vibrant, robust and unique.
